Blown $300 on a fancy laser level that I dropped off a ladder in Week 2
Tbh I bought that green Bosch laser level for $300 and it was amazing until I knocked it off a 6 foot step ladder onto concrete in my second week, now the pendulum is off and it reads like a drunk protractor, has anyone else tried repairing one of these or should I just go back to a basic spirit level?
Toss it. Once that pendulum gets knocked around, the calibration is shot and no amount of re-leveling will bring it back true. I tried fixing a DeWalt that took a similar fall and it was never right again, just kept drifting a degree or two off. Those self-leveling guts are way more fragile than they look, so a plain spirit level will actually save you the headache.
