Just had a week where everything went wrong, then suddenly it all clicked
Started Monday with a mitre saw that wouldn't cut straight no matter how I adjusted it. Spent Tuesday replacing blades and checking the fence, wasted like 6 hours. Then Wednesday I tackled a tricky crown moulding job for a client in Austin and it fit perfect on the first try, no gaps at all. Thursday the saw started working fine again, must have been a loose bolt I missed. Has anyone else had a job where you hit a wall for days then suddenly everything lines up?

Oh man, that crown moulding save must have felt SO good. Just a heads up though, that saw thing was probably a loose arbor nut, not a bolt - those need a specific wrench to tighten down right.

Hmm, I actually think it coulda been a bolt depending on the saw model. Some of the older craftsman ones have a hex bolt that you can get at with a regular socket if you really try. Not saying you're wrong, just seen both setups enough to wonder which one they had.

Learned something new today, never thought about the hex bolt setup on those older Craftsman saws.
