Man, come on, one job on 14 steps does not prove anything about a tool. A stair tool only works when the stairs are already cut right and the carpet has some stretch to it, so of course it felt easy. Try that same $18 tool on a set of stairs with a tight turn and some old backing and see how far it gets you.
