Double glue vs stretch in finally, what a difference on a 4,000 sq ft job in Phoenix

Did a hotel corridor install last month and we split the floors between double glue and a stretch method on the same pad type. The stretch areas are already showing ripples near the seams while the glued side is still flat as glass. We used the same power stretcher technique both ways, so it's not operator error. Why does anyone still argue for stretch on commercial stuff when the glue holds so much better in the heat? Has anyone else seen a similar failure after just a few weeks?

Hold on, I gotta push back here. Stretch gets a bad rap when the real culprit is usually prep and acclimation, not the method itself. That Phoenix heat is brutal, but if the pad and carpet weren't given enough time to settle before stretching, you'll get ripples no matter what glue you use. Plus, double glue is a nightmare to pull up for repairs or when the hotel wants to change the color in a few years, and that cost adds up fast. Stretch gives you that flexibility to fix a seam or a bubble without tearing out the whole floor, which is a huge deal on a 4,000 sq ft job, you know?
