Rant: The new library in Cedar Rapids has this crazy patterned carpet that must have been a nightmare to seam.
I was there last Tuesday and the pattern is a detailed geometric design that shifts across the main hall. How do you even begin to match that up without the seams being super obvious? What's the trick for something that busy?

Actually, the installers did a fantastic job hiding those seams. You have to get down on your knees to spot the transitions in that geometric pattern. It's a real testament to their skill.
