A friend keeps saying every celeb apology video is fake, and I think she is confusing two different things
My friend Sara and I got into it last week over that Logan Paul clip where he cried about the suicide forest footage. She kept saying the whole thing was fake because his eyes were dry. I told her that dry eyes on camera does not prove anything, because crying for real often does not show up on video with ring lights and makeup. What actually tips me off is deleted tweets and edited captions, like when Doja Cat scrubbed posts after the 2020 chat room stuff came out. Sara thinks every tear is a PR move and I think that misses the point. How do you all decide if an apology is real, do you look at timing or at what got deleted after?
