I used to think celebrity apology videos were always fake

After watching that actor's live stream apology last month where he clearly forgot to mute and you could hear him asking his manager 'is this good enough', I changed my mind. It made me realize some of these awkward moments are just people being bad at social media, not always a calculated PR move. What's the most obviously real social fail you've seen lately?

Oh man, that politician's "hot mic" rant before his climate speech was painfully real.

That tech CEO last week trying to use a green screen for the first time was a mess. He spent the whole interview with a floating head because he set it up wrong. You could see his assistant waving frantically off camera. That level of confusion can't be faked. It was just a guy who is rich but has no clue how basic tech works. Those are the real moments that show how out of touch some people can get.

Remember when that singer tried to join a fan's TikTok live? She kept asking if they liked her new song, but her account was private so all her comments just showed up as "user123". The fan was so confused, asking who this weirdo was. That wasn't a stunt, it was just a famous person who didn't get how the app works.
