That time a pop star tried to roast a fan and it completely backfired

Last week, a singer with 20 million followers posted a clapback at a commenter, calling their profile pic 'basic'. Turned out the commenter was a 14 year old kid who just lost their mom. The singer deleted the tweet after 3 hours, but the screenshots are everywhere. How do these people not have someone checking this stuff before they hit post?

Hire a real person to read comments before you reply. They catch stuff algorithms miss.

My buddy works for a small online store and they tried using an auto-reply bot last month. It completely missed a customer's sarcasm about a late package and sent a cheery "Glad you love it!" reply. They had to give the guy a full refund and a real apology.

Totally agree with that. Algorithms are dumb as rocks when it comes to context. A real person gets the tone and the actual point being made. Companies just don't want to pay for it because it costs more. They would rather deal with the PR mess later.
