My first week in Chicago was a total nightmare...
Moved to Lincoln Park three weeks ago and my first Monday, my car got towed for street cleaning at 9am and then the pizza place I ordered from messed up my order twice in one night. The parking signs here are impossible to read, am I the only one who almost got towed their first week?

Jumping in here with something nobody's mentioning... the street cleaning signs in Lincoln Park are actually set up to trap new people. I've lived here ten years and I still triple check because they change the times based on what block you're on. What really gets me is the pizza thing though... if you ordered from a chain place, they probably routed your order to a location that's way too far. Try local spots like Pizzeria Uno or just walk in somewhere. The car towing thing is basically a Chicago welcome ritual at this point.

That first week in Chicago sounds rough, but at least you weren't the one parked on my street the day the fire hydrant flooded everything.

Honestly @paige86 is spot on about the pizza thing, but Pizzeria Uno is actually the original deep dish spot not a chain.
