Finally swapped my old poly brushes for a set of SootSweeper steel ones last month

The steel ones cut my time on a standard flue in half because they don't bend and actually scrape the hard glaze. Anyone else made a switch that felt like a total game changer?

Cutting your time in half sounds a bit much. I've used steel brushes and they're fine, but it's not like some magic fix. You still have to work the angles and be careful.

Totally agree it's not magic, and @jesse994 is right about being careful on those tight bends.

Cutting your time in half is a serious upgrade. Did you notice any extra wear on the flue tiles with the steel? I've heard some guys worry about scoring the clay liner if they hit a tight spot or a bend too hard.
