Showerthought: My kid asked why we still buy bottled water for soccer games.
He pointed out we already have 24 reusable bottles in the garage, and that one comment made me realize how much plastic waste was just habit. Anyone have a good system for managing team drinks without the single-use bottles?

Totally agree about the push-button spout being a weak point. We switched to a basic cooler with a simple spigot and it's lasted three seasons now. The kids can operate it without any trouble.

We got a big insulated jug, the kind with a push-button spout. Fill it with water and ice before the game, and the kids just bring their own reusable bottles to fill up. Cuts down on the chaos of everyone grabbing a new bottle, you know?

That insulated jug idea from @jana_fox50 is smart for cutting down bottles, but you gotta be careful with the push-button spout. Those things can break or leak if a kid leans on it too hard. A simple screw-on spout or even a regular spigot is way more durable for team use.
