Started a tiny compost bin on my ABQ balcony 7 months ago, and my trash is down to 1 bag a week (that's it)
I got the bin from the city's free program at a library on Central, and it took until month 3 before it stopped smelling like a wet sock. Curious if anyone in a dry climate has tips for keeping it going through the summer heat.
Ha, good luck with that, summer heat is exactly why most balcony compost turns into a fruit fly farm by July. You're better off just freezing your scraps and dumping them somewhere else until fall.
