Hit 500 subscribers on my channel - thought I'd be excited but I felt weird about it
I started a YouTube channel six months ago roasting bad influencer apology videos, and I hit 500 subs last Tuesday. I figured I'd pop champagne or something, but instead I just stared at the number and wondered if I'm becoming one of those people I make fun of. Has anyone else hit a milestone that made them question what they're actually doing?

Man I hit 500 subs about three months ago on my pressure washing channel. I had this same exact feeling, like I was suddenly supposed to be some big shot but I still just film buckets of soap and water. What helped me was remembering why I started. For me it was showing people you can build something from nothing without being fake. Maybe go back and watch your first video, then watch your most recent one. If you still see the same honest person in both of them, then you're not becoming the people you roast. You're just getting bigger, and that's fine as long as your video ideas still feel like they came from you.

Jumped into this exact same weird feeling when I hit 500 on my channel too. I was roasting terrible DIY repair videos and suddenly I'm sitting there wondering if people are watching me just to see if I'm gonna mess up my own stuff. It's like you hit a number and your brain immediately asks if you're the joke now. But honestly that self doubt is probably the one thing keeping you from turning into the people you make fun of. The second you stop questioning it is the second you become the apology video king.
