Hot take: That influencer who wiped her whole Instagram last week did it for attention
Saw this travel blogger from Portland delete 800 posts overnight and then repost a single photo of a white wall with no caption... I actually DM'd her asking if she got hacked and she said 'just a new chapter.' Does anyone buy that move as genuine or is it always a calculated rebrand?

Is it weird that I kinda miss the chaotic messy accounts people used to have? Like back in 2012 everyone had that one blurry photo of their cat and a random tweet about burning toast. @miles72 gets it though, sometimes you just want to erase the old stuff without it meaning anything deep. I had a buddy who deleted his whole Facebook profile once because he was mad at a girl, then came back a week later like nothing happened. Take it with a grain of salt, but I think people overthink these things. The white wall photo screams "I'm about to launch something," but she could also just be tired of her own face like the rest of us.

I mean, sometimes people just get tired of the whole performance and want a fresh start without it being some big strategy. Not every move online has to be a calculated play for attention, some of us just get sick of our own past posts.
