That influencer cookbook had a typo that ruined my dinner party
I bought that new cookbook from the fitness influencer who got exposed for faking her meal prep photos last month. The lentil shepherd's pie recipe looked simple enough, so I made it for my book club on Thursday. Turned out she wrote 2 cups of salt instead of 2 teaspoons, and I didn't catch it until everyone was coughing at the table. The whole thing went in the trash after we ordered pizza instead. I left a one star review pointing out the error, and her team actually replied asking me to take it down. Has anyone else dealt with recipe errors from these canceled personalities, or am I just cursed?

Not surprising. These people type their cookbooks with one hand while filming themselves pretending to chop kale. My copy had a step that said "fold in the cheese" but there was no folding instruction anywhere. Just drew a little arrow to a pile of shredded cheddar. I had to Google a folding video from 1998. You did the right thing leaving the review. Let their team buy your silence with a gift card or something.
