Went through my old tweets from 2011 and found a canceled-era time capsule

Digging through my Twitter archive from 2011 last week, and man, some of those jokes landed way different now. I had a few cringe takes about a celeb who got ratioed hard back then, nothing hateful, but the tone was so edgy. It made me think about how we all posted without thinking about receipts, and now one old screen grab can nuke a career in a day. Do you ever go back and delete old stuff, or leave it up as a reminder of how dumb we all used to be?

Man it's wild how we're all basically walking around with our dumbest moments archived forever now. I leave my old crap up though, feels like a badge of honor to see how much you've grown, but yeah it's a trip how one bad take from 2011 can haunt you worse than a parking ticket.

And I had a buddy who spent a whole WEEKEND scrubbing his old Myspace and Twitter after a job interviewer brought up a joke he posted in 2009. It was like a half-baked pun about a celebrity, not even mean, but the interviewer had screenshotted it and printed it out. He deleted everything, changed his handle, the whole nine yards. Now he just posts pictures of his dog and nothing else. I still leave mine up because I figure the cringe is part of the charm, but that made me real careful about what I type now.
