Comparing freeCodeCamp to a $200 Udemy course after 2 weeks of JavaScript

I spent 14 days on a paid Udemy course and felt stuck on loops. Then a friend said just try freeCodeCamp for a weekend. Their interactive exercises made the same concepts click in 3 days. Has anyone else found that free stuff teaches better than paid sometimes?

Gotta respectfully disagree on this one. freeCodeCamp is great for getting your hands dirty fast, but the paid Udemy courses usually explain the 'why' behind the code way better. Loops clicked for me when a $10 Udemy instructor spent 20 minutes breaking down the difference between a for loop and a while loop with real world examples, not just filling in blanks. freeCodeCamp feels like a workout drill, while a good instructor explains the muscle groups. Not saying free stuff is bad, but a well made paid course gives you the theory that sticks for the hard problems down the road.

Huh, so do you think the paid courses actually teach you how to solve problems or just explain the theory better?

Man it's like buying good tools. Cheap ones work but quality just makes everything click.
