My last project deadline taught me to stop over-planning code
Spent 3 days mapping out every function before writing a single line, then deleted half of it when the actual data came in differently. Has anyone else found that just starting with a rough sketch and building as you go works way better for small apps?
Kept a notebook full of diagrams for years before every build, convinced it saved me time. Then I noticed the plans I spent hours on were mostly guesses, and the real problems only showed up once I had something running. Rough sketch first, fix it as you go, has been faster for me every time since.
