Can we talk about the espresso at that new place on 3rd Street?

I stopped into Brew Lab downtown yesterday and their shot was so sour I swear they pulled it in 15 seconds flat. Are these new shops skipping basic calibration or am I just unlucky?

ugh yeah that sounds about right for downtown spots lately. i had a similar thing at a popup last week, some guy with a mustache was pulling shots that looked like they were from a SodaStream. like dude, if your espresso tastes like lemon juice and battery acid, maybe slow down a bit. i mean i get it, they want to move people through but come on. its not that hard to time a shot, i learned basic calibration in like 10 minutes watching a youtube video. seriously, if you're gonna charge 5 bucks for a drink at least make it drinkable.

Pulling shots in 15 seconds" yeah that's a turbo shot, not espresso.
