Used to spend 20 minutes dialing in my pour over every morning
I was that guy with the scale, the gooseneck kettle, the whole ritual. I'd weigh out exactly 18 grams of beans, grind them fresh, and pour in slow circles for like 3 minutes. It made a good cup but man it ate up time before my 5 AM shift. About 6 months ago I switched to a simple drip machine my sister gave me. No scale, no fuss, just dump some grounds in and hit brew. The coffee is fine, not amazing, but I gain back 15 minutes to actually eat breakfast or just sit still before I hit the road. Anyone else ditch the fancy methods for something way simpler?
