My little coffee scale just hit 500 uses and I feel weirdly proud

I got this cheap digital scale about a year ago, mostly to see if it would help my pour-over game. I started logging each use in a little notebook, just for fun. Hit the 500 mark this morning while making a cup of Ethiopian beans. It's silly, but seeing that number made me stop and think. It's not about the scale itself, but about the quiet routine it represents... all those early mornings and late nights just focusing on the grind and the water. That's 500 times I chose to slow down and make something with care, instead of just hitting a button. Anyone else track something simple like that and find it means more than you thought?

You said "isn't it just a scale," and I get that, but I see it the other way. It's the anchor for a whole ritual. My scale is the thing that makes me measure the beans and pay attention for two minutes. Without that little routine, I'd just be on autopilot. It turns a daily chore into a small, mindful act.

Exactly, that's the whole point.

Isn't it just a scale though?
