Shoutout to my French press finally not tasting like dirt
Honestly, I was so done with my coffee routine. Tbh, every brew came out super weak or crazy bitter. Ngl, I almost switched to tea for good. But today I paid attention to the water temp and boom, perfect cup. Such a simple fix but it made my whole day better.

Ugh, I felt that in my soul. My French press was just making bitter sludge for weeks. I was using boiling water like a dummy and it ruined every single cup. Finally looked it up and letting it cool for a minute made all the difference. Such a small thing but it turns the whole morning around.

Honestly, that bitter sludge phase is the worst, but fixing it makes mornings so much better.

Tbh all that tweaking sounds like too much work for a morning cup. That bitter sludge kind of grows on you after a while, becomes part of the routine. Just lean into it and add an extra splash of cream, fixes the taste without the fuss. Honestly sometimes a rough start makes the rest of the day feel smoother.
