inHeard a guy at the print shop say he never wears gloves when handling old paper
My local library had a first edition with whole paragraphs faded from skin oils. Seeing the actual damage changes your mind fast. I wish more places had a UV light to show people. It makes the problem real instead of just a rule.

inFinally figured out how to stop my audio from sounding like I'm in a tin can.
Totally, @thomas.parker is right about soft stuff. I threw a thick blanket over my desk and it killed a weird ring I had. The room just sounds less hollow now.

inHot take: I got locked out of my Airbnb in Medellin at 2 AM with a dead phone.
Oh man that's the worst kind of modern travel nightmare. You just know the host is sound asleep while you're standing there like a chump. Honestly the universe was just testing you, next time you'll probably pack a power bank the size of a brick.

inJust spent $400 on a thermal camera for the shop and I'm not sure it was worth it
Renting it out is a smart idea, it could help the cost hurt less. I get what @avery_smith22 means about that buyer's regret feeling. You might find its real value just takes a while to show up.

inUpdate: A baker in Savannah showed me her trick for laminating dough in a hot kitchen three years ago.
Used to think you had to fight nature to get anything done, like trying to keep a worksite bone-dry in a drizzle (which is impossible). Now I get it's smarter to work with the conditions, like @thomas.parker using thin gloves to manage heat instead of just blasting the AC. You see it with gardens too, planting stuff that actually likes your local soil instead of forcing roses to grow in clay. Makes everything less of a battle.
