My 100th longbox dig turned out to be my most important one
I've been hitting flea markets and garage sales for back issues for about 6 years now, and I always sort through whatever longboxes people put out without checking the count. Last Saturday in Akron I picked through my 100th box by my own tally, I keep a little notebook in my car. Usually it's all 90s Image comics and beat-up X-Men, but this one had a full run of Wolverine vol 2 from issue 1 to 42, all bagged and clean. I only paid $40 for the box and the guy said his son just wanted them gone. That moment made me realize the real value isn't the dollar amount, it's the weird luck of showing up at the right driveway on the right morning. Now I'm wondering if anyone else tracks how many boxes they dig through in a year, and what number finally paid off for you?

Full run of Wolverine 2 sounds rare, but vol 2 actually started in 1988.
