Ngl, that's the best part of local news comment sections. Saw one about a lost cat turn into a whole spy thriller last month. People were casting roles and planning rescue missions. It's way more fun than the actual story.

Remember that story about the missing garden gnome that made the news? The comments went full detective mode, accusing the neighbor's dog of being a secret agent. Someone even drew a map of the "crime scene" using bird feeder locations. It got so deep that people forgot they were looking for a plastic lawn ornament.

Wasn't there a whole thing about a stolen flamingo last year? The comments decided it was a rival lawn decoration gang and started naming suspects. I love how these threads just spin off into their own little world. It's like group storytelling with way too much detail about people's shrubs.
