Saw a comment on a makeup tutorial that said my blending technique was 'too aggressive'

Some random person on a beauty influencer's video called me out for basically scrubbing my face with a brush instead of blending. I switched to lighter stippling motions and it actually cut my foundation routine by 4 minutes. Has anyone else gotten weirdly useful advice from a troll in the comments?

Wait, did they call it aggressive or "too aggressive"? Because I had a similar experience where someone told me I was "manhandling my cheekbones" and I was so mad at first. But turns out they were right and I was basically buffing my face raw. Now I do those little tapping motions and my makeup looks way smoother. Funny how a jerk somehow knows what they're talking about sometimes. Makes you wonder how many other trolls are secretly blending geniuses.

Wait didn't you say @nancygrant was the one who clapped back at that troll tho? I swear I read somewhere that aggressive blending is like the #1 mistake people make with cream products, so maybe the troll had a point lol.

@the_matthew honestly I'm just over here aggressively tapping my face like a woodpecker now because of that post... turns out I've been manhandling my foundation like it owes me money.
