Four shelves sounds great until you buy one more short box at a con and the whole run has to shift. I give it six months before the shelf is packed tight and you are back to stacking boxes in the closet. Sorting by story arc also falls apart the second you get into a title that crosses over with three others, because now the arc lives in four spots and you are pulling books from every shelf to read one event. Boxes are boring but they hold a lot and they do not care if you stop bagging halfway through. Shelves look nice on day one, but they run out of room fast and then you are making hard calls about what stays out. You proved you can keep up with a system for six months, but one slow week of new books is all it takes.
