The difference a good cable comb makes on a server rack

I spent 3 years just zip-tieing cables into bundles, thinking it looked fine. Last month I finally bought a proper cable comb for $25 and redid a 42U rack at a dental office downtown. The before looked like a rat's nest, the after looks like a factory build. Airflow improved noticeably and the next guy to touch it won't hate me. Anyone else put off buying simple tools like that and regretted it?

Three years with zip ties and no comb? That's wild.

That's a tough way to go. Can't imagine dealing with tangled zips every single day and never just grabbing a comb to smooth things out. Respect for sticking with it though, some people switch styles like they change socks. Must feel pretty good to finally get a proper haircut after all that.
