Why does nobody talk about PSU fan orientation in a basement PC case?
I just spent 3 hours rebuilding a client's PC in an NZXT H5 Flow and realized I had the PSU fan facing up instead of down. The case has a vented basement but I never checked the manual. I found a Gamers Nexus video showing that flipping it dropped temps by 8 degrees on the GPU. Has anyone else messed this up on a new build?

Eight degrees from flipping a fan?" That's a wild difference for such a small change. I would have never guessed it mattered that much.

Yeah, I was skeptical too until I tried it in my own setup. I flipped the fan on my PSU from exhaust to intake and saw my CPU temps drop by about 5 degrees under load. My GPU ran slightly warmer but nothing crazy, maybe 2 degrees. Worth doing if your case has decent airflow elsewhere.

Yeah, "eight degrees from flipping a fan" sounds crazy but it's real. The GPU pulls air from the bottom vents, and if the PSU is pulling that hot air up into the case, it just recirculates. I've seen similar drops on builds where the basement isn't well vented. It's an easy fix once you realize it matters.
