Shoutout to that unexpected rain shower

I was finishing up a patio slab yesterday, and the heat was awful. Sweat was dripping into my eyes, and the mix was setting too fast. Then, out of the blue, a quick rain shower passed through. It cooled everything down just enough. I grabbed my float and worked while it was damp, and the surface turned out glassy smooth. The homeowner came out and was amazed. We had a laugh about working in the rain. Sometimes nature gives you a hand when you least expect it.

Love when that happens. Had a surprise drizzle last week that saved me on a flagstone walkway finish. Made the whole cleanup and final touch so much easier.

Ever read how British gardeners basically wait for rain to do their cleanups? Saw an article where they call it "nature's final rinse" or something. Makes it sound like a big deal over there.
