Shoutout to using a power trowel instead of hand floating on a 2,000 sq ft slab last week

My buddy insisted on hand floating the whole driveway and after 6 hours his finish was garbage while my section with the power trowel looked perfect in half the time, has anyone else made the switch and never looked back?

Wait, you actually have buddies that still hand float big slabs? Man that sounds like a nightmare. Power trowel is the only way to go once you get past like 500 sq ft. Your buddy probably learned his lesson after that 6 hour mess. I switched years ago and never looked back. Saves so much time and the finish is way more consistent.

Consistent finish" is the part that gets me, did your buddy actually admit his looked like crap compared to yours or is he still trying to justify the hand floating?
