Tried a different edge tool on a patio pour and it backfired

Used a new magnesium bullnose edger on a walkway in Spokane, thinking it would give a cleaner radius. The mix was a bit dry and it just tore the edge up instead of smoothing it, had to go back over everything with my old steel one. Anyone have a go-to edger for stiffer concrete?

Wait, are you talking about the dry rub on ribs? Because that's totally different from a dry mix for concrete. A dry rub needs to sit on the meat for hours to work its magic. It doesn't wreck anything, it just needs time.

My dad always said new tools need the right conditions, like that dry mix just wrecked your edge. It's the same with my grill, a new smoker box is useless if the charcoal isn't hot enough.
