A client's toddler decided my color bowl was a hat
I was doing a root touch-up in my home salon in Austin when my client's 2-year-old grabbed my mixing bowl. Before I could stop him, he plopped it right on his head, smearing a stripe of 6N brown through his blonde hair. I had to keep a straight face while his mom freaked out. Has anyone else had a kid cause a color disaster mid-service?

Had a similar thing happen with a developer bowl. The key is speed and not panicking. Grab a towel with some shampoo on it and wipe it off before it sets. It usually comes right out if you catch it fast. Keep your voice calm so the mom doesn't lose it more. The kid probably thinks it's the funniest thing ever.

Wait, you had shampoo ready to go that fast? I'm impressed by your quick thinking, because I'd just be staring at the mess in horror. That's some next level parent reflexes right there.

But what if the kid actually looked good with the brown stripe? Maybe you just gave him a free highlight.
