Shoutout to the old timer who showed me how to grease the turntable right

Last month a retired crane guy named Larry stopped by my site in Denver. He saw me using a regular grease gun on the swing bearing and just shook his head. He pulled out a curved needle adapter from his truck and showed me how to hit the internal race. I had been missing half the points for 3 years. Has anyone else had an old hand teach them something that simple but game changing?

That curved needle adapter is a lifesaver if you've got a tight workspace overhead. I've seen guys in hangars use them on boom truck pins too, not just swing bearings.

Nah, I actually disagree a bit. That curve can be a pain if you're used to a straight pry bar, feels like you lose some leverage in certain spots. Ever tried both and noticed a difference?
