Working on a farm truck in Nebraska last month showed me something about old diesel injectors

My uncle's 7.3 Powerstroke had the same "character" for a decade before a fuel wash killed it. The real cost isn't the injectors, it's the unburned fuel diluting the oil and wrecking the bottom end over thousands of miles. Most shops just don't connect those long term dots.

I thought the 'lost city' stories from that dig in Peru were just hype

Ever notice how people need different amounts of proof to believe something? It's like that with everything, not just old ruins.

Spent $80 on a soil moisture meter and I'm not sure it was worth it

Honestly, have you checked if your pot has good drainage? A meter can't fix soggy soil trapped in a pretty container. Maybe the gadget is fine, but it's reading a problem it can't solve. You might be fighting the wrong battle there.

The day a single loose coax connector shut down a whole hangar

Man, that's wild. Honestly I used to get so mad when tech would fail and just assume it was some big complicated system error. Your story really shows how it's almost always something stupid and simple. That mouse just going to town on a cable while the outside looks fine... makes me feel dumb for all the times I overthought a problem. Now I force myself to check the easy stuff first, even if it seems too obvious.

My lawyer friend in Chicago said to always get a signed SOW amendment before adding any scope, and a client just tried to bill us for 'assumed' extra work.

My buddy's client tried to charge for "project management" that was never agreed on, but their contract saved them. How do people think they can get away with that?
