Spent 6 months editing in DaVinci Resolve before trying Premiere Pro for one project.

I was stubborn about switching because Resolve is free, but color grading took me half the time in Premiere with the Lumetri panel. Has anyone else found a tool that just clicks better for their workflow?

Yeah totally, I had the same thing! I fought switching to Premiere for so long because Resolve was free, but once I tried proxy workflows in Premiere I couldn't go back, it just felt faster for everything (even if the color tools aren't as deep).

@riley_schmidt I'm glad I'm not the only one who made that switch. I actually read somewhere that DaVinci's color tools are way more powerful but most editors don't push them that far anyway. Lumetri is simpler but for quick corrections it just gets out of your way. Plus Premiere handles audio way better for basic cuts. I still use Resolve for when a client wants that extra polish on color, but for everyday work Premiere just flows.

Lumetri is actually pretty basic compared to Resolve's color tools for real grading work.
