Dropped $6,800 on a whole house water softener setup before the drywall even went up, and it was a total waste
The plumber talked me into a full filtration system before framing was done in our Boise build, and now 8 months in I'm ripping half of it out because the pressure drop is killing every shower in the house, so please tell me someone else got talked into pre drywall plumbing upgrades they regret.
Feel for you on this one. We got sold a similar package during our remodel and the master shower now feels like someone put their thumb over the hose. My wife literally times her rinse because the flow is so weak. The guy swore it would pay for itself but nobody mentioned we'd need a booster pump to make it livable. Ripping out half of it after only 8 months hurts, but honestly you're saving yourself years of slow showers.
