It took a full house wrap inspection to make me realize my flashing order was backward
I was doing a custom build outside of Austin and had the inspector walk through. He pointed out that I was putting the window flashing on after the house wrap, which means water can get behind it. I had been doing it that way for about 14 houses and nobody ever said anything. Has anyone else had a basic trade habit that was wrong for years, and how did you find out?
