My builder talked me into a huge 'future-proof' conduit run that I'll never use
During our build in Asheville, they pushed hard for running a 3-inch conduit from the basement to the attic 'just in case' for future tech. It added nearly $2,200 to the cost and required extra framing work. Looking back, I can't think of a single thing I'd ever need to run through there that fiber and good wifi won't handle. Anyone else get sold on an expensive 'just in case' feature they regret?
