Got a text about a package I never ordered, and it almost got me last Tuesday

The link looked real, but I checked the sender and it was a random number, so I deleted it and reported it as spam instead of clicking.

Spot the same scam all the time now. My rule is if I didn't order it, I just delete the message immediately. It's gotten so bad you can't even trust a familiar looking logo.

So are other people you know falling for these, or do you think most folks are catching on these days? I've got a buddy who clicked a fake USPS link last month and spent an hour on the phone with his bank sorting it out. He said the text looked exactly like the real tracking updates he gets, same logo and everything. That's what gets me, they're getting scarily good at copying the official messages. What's the closest someone you know has gotten to actually handing over their info?

Ever get those fake "your package is delayed" texts?
