Rant: Found a gas station POS system still running Windows XP yesterday

Stopped at a Shell in Tulsa for a soda and noticed the register screen had the classic XP blue taskbar. I usually don't care about that stuff, but has anyone else seen this out in the wild recently?

Totally changed my view on aging tech honestly. I used to think companies should just update stuff every couple years to be safe and modern. But seeing that XP machine still running a register with zero issues made me realize old systems can be totally fine if they're stable and never touched the internet. That POS is probably more reliable than some new touchscreen ones i've seen crash mid transaction.
