Rant: My own 'secure' password manager bit me after 3 years

Ngl, I set up Bitwarden in 2021 with a master passphrase I thought was bulletproof, and last Thursday it locked me out after a weird sync glitch on my Android. I spent 4 hours on chat support and finally got in, but only because I had a backup code printed on a piece of paper in my desk drawer. Is it dumb that I still trust it, or has anyone else had a near-miss like this that made you rethink your whole setup?

Man, I used to joke about people who printed backup codes like it was 1995 or something... then last year I lost my whole vault to a dead phone and a forgotten email password. Good on you for having that paper, honestly might be the only reason you didn't lose everything.
