That viral coffee shop apology post that got deleted last week - I actually think the owner did the right thing

Everyone was piling on that small shop in Denver for their apology about the mispronounced name incident. But I read the whole thing before it got taken down and honestly, the owner admitted she messed up, refunded the customer, and offered free training for her staff. She didn't make excuses or blame anyone else. I think people just wanted to stay mad instead of accepting a genuine apology. Has anyone else seen a deleted post that actually handled things well but got roasted anyway?

Getting called out for a bad apology hits close to home. My last breakup apology got so roasted my friends still bring it up at parties. That coffee shop owner at least owned her mistake which is more than most people do when they fess up.

Three years ago my cousin's "apology" for forgetting her best friend's birthday turned into a 10-minute rant about her own stress, and they still joke about it at Thanksgiving. Honestly though @max415 is it that deep with a breakup apology? People get so hung up on the perfect wording when half the time the other person just wants to move on. Like yeah owning it is nice and all, but if you said sorry and meant it that's basically the same thing in real life. Maybe we overthink this stuff because internet culture makes everything a performance.
