Just hit 10,000 hours on the same tower crane cab

Man, that's awesome. My old service truck just rolled past 300,000 miles on the original transmission. I've changed the oil and done the brakes, but that's it. The thing is a total rust bucket but it starts every single morning. Some machines are just built different.

My foreman told me to always use a dry ladle for the first pour of the day, no matter what.

Nah, one lucky pour doesn't mean the old safety rule is useless now.

Just finished a show I've been putting off for years

Ever think we put off shows because we're scared of the empty feeling when they end, like @aaron884 said?

Question about using a cambium saver on a mature oak removal

That "bark like armor" idea is a trap, isn't it? @the_cameron saw how the heat from friction is the real problem, not just the bark wearing down. It's never about the tree being tough enough, it's about protecting your gear.

Pro tip: I used to swear by a 3/4 inch impact for lug nuts, but a 1 inch drive with a torque stick is the only way to go.

Hot take: Bigger is better. Honestly, that's the whole truth of it. The 1 inch gun just has that extra oomph that doesn't fight you. You're right about the busted studs too. It feels like the heavier hit from a 3/4 gun can snap them, but the 1 inch drive sort of muscles things loose in a smoother way. It's one of those tools that seems like overkill until you use it once. Then you just keep it in the truck for wheel work.
