That time I posted a funny selfie and woke up to 50k notifications

Oh man, "50k notifications" - I had the exact same thing happen with a photo of my dog wearing sunglasses on a beach trip. It got picked up by some big page and suddenly I had reporters calling my work asking for a quote, which was just insane for something so random.

That $50 anvil I found at a garage sale cost me more in headaches than it saved me

A cheap anvil is often cheap for a reason, and that reason is usually that it's been abused or made wrong. Soft faces, cracked heels, and ring issues are common with beat up old ones that look like a deal. You paid $50 for a lesson, but $400 for a tool that will actually work is still a bargain in the long run.

Rant: That library meme about 'shushing' being outdated actually taught me something

Did you try asking a librarian about quiet zones? I grabbed a map of the building and it showed me exactly which floors had the "don't talk" rule.

Chased a bad ground for 3 days on a Chevy Silverado

Tell your buddy he just paid for three shops to not check the most basic thing on the planet lmao. That old timer probably saw the green crust and thought "yep, another one who never learned about corrosion." It's like trying to fix your internet by buying a new router when the cable is literally chewed through by a dog. Ground cables are the forgotten stepchild of car repairs, they never get any love until they leave you stranded. Your buddy should frame that old ground cable as a trophy for all the wasted money lol.

Finally picked the director's cut over the theatrical release on my rewatch of Blade Runner last night

Whoa, hold on! The deleted ape scene from 2001? I had no idea that even existed, that's wild! The monolith is already super creepy and mysterious, so adding more ape stuff would probably make it even more unsettling. I can just imagine how much that would change the whole vibe of the movie, making it almost like a horror film in a way. Now I really want to track that down and see it for myself, because that sounds like a total game changer for how you see the whole thing.
