Why does nobody talk about the alternate ending for Layer Cake where Craig dies

Found it on a Blu-ray special feature last week. The theatrical cut has him walking away clean, but the deleted version shows him getting clipped outside the pub. That one scene changes the whole movie, like the warning at the start was never a joke. Anyone else stumble on a deleted ending that just wrecked the main story for them?

Wait is that actually on the Blu-ray or are you thinking of the director's commentary where Matthew Vaughn talks about a version he shot where Craig dies? I remember reading about an alternate take but it wasn't on the disc, it was in some old interview where he said they filmed the death scene but cut it because the test audience hated it. The pub clip thing sounds more like a fan edit someone made, not an official deleted scene. Theatrical ending always felt like a fake out to me too though, that whole "one last job" speech hits different if you know he's supposed to buy it.
