Did you check if any of those clients are art students or teachers? I had three commissions in a week once, turns out they all knew each other and were just referring me around. That kind of fast batch work usually means someone talked you up somewhere.

honestly that is such a good point and i feel that so hard. i had a similar thing happen last year where i got like 5 orders in 3 days and it was honestly overwhelming at first cause i was like where is this all coming from?? turns out some girl in a cosplay discord i barely posted in just randomly shouted me out and everyone there jumped on it. it's wild how much that kind of word of mouth stuff can snowball out of nowhere. definitely worth checking if someone posted a review or a tag somewhere, cause it feels less random and more like someone actually hyped you up.
