Appreciation post: The wifi in Chiang Mai's old city cafes is better than my apartment back home
I've been working from a different cafe here every day for two weeks. The one on Ratchadamnoen Road has fiber with a 300 Mbps upload speed, which is wild. I can video edit and upload a 4GB project file in about 15 minutes while drinking a 60 baht coffee. Has anyone else found a specific city where the public internet just blows your home base out of the water?

Ever try to use the wifi at a national park? I was at Yellowstone last year and the signal at Old Faithful was so bad I couldn't even load a map. Makes what @jade_davis said about treating it like real infrastructure seem pretty smart. Some places just don't get it.

Found the same thing in Seoul, their subway wifi felt faster than my home broadband.

Read somewhere they treat public wifi like basic infrastructure there. Makes sense when you see how fast and reliable it is. Puts our spotty coffee shop connections to shame.
