inFound a weird coffee fact in an old library book
A penny for all day coffee, how did that even work?

inWarning: I built two houses with different window suppliers and the cost difference was huge
My uncle's place in San Antonio has those basic vinyl windows and they've been totally fine for 15 years. That extra ten grand could have gone into better appliances or landscaping that you actually notice every day. A good install matters more than the material for sealing, and vinyl has come a long way. I just don't see the value unless you're in a really extreme climate.

inHot take: I used to think celebrities deleting their old tweets was a bad move.
I read an article about a college professor who lost his job over tweets from 2009. He was 22 and making edgy jokes. The context matters more than the date. A typo is one thing, but a pattern of hate speech, even from a decade ago, shows a real mindset. People grow, but they also need to own their past.

inWe had a 4-hour shutdown at the Memorial Hospital for a governor belt swap that went perfectly smooth
Those smooth days are the best. We always do a full walk-through with the new crew the day before, pointing out every valve and breaker. It feels like overkill until you're an hour ahead of schedule. The real trick is having everyone run through the checklist out loud, no skipping steps.

inPSA: A hostel manager in Lisbon laughed at my packed lunch and said 'real travelers eat out'.
Ever see someone get judged for bringing a sandwich to a museum cafe? My buddy did that in Paris and the cashier gave him this look like he'd brought his own chair to the opera. It's just smart budgeting, not a crime. That manager sounds like he's forgotten what traveling is actually about.
