PSA: My kid asked me why I still use a 2D CAD program at home when my firm uses full 3D BIM.
He said 'Dad, isn't that like using a flip phone?' and I couldn't really argue. Anyone else feel weirdly attached to their old drafting workflow even when you know there's better stuff out there?

Honestly that flip phone comparison hits different. My old 2D setup just feels like home, you know? Muscle memory from years of keyboard shortcuts beats learning new software some days. Sometimes you just need to bang out a quick sketch without all the 3D overhead. If it gets the job done for personal projects, who cares what the kids think.
