My ex's viral roast got 2 million views before I even woke up
Last Tuesday I found out my ex posted a 4 minute breakdown of our breakup, complete with screenshots I never knew they kept, and it blew up on TikTok overnight. The number that got me was 2.1 million views in like 8 hours, and my phone in Austin was blowing up from people I haven't talked to since high school. What made it wild is they were actually pretty fair in the video, even admitted their part in things, so I couldn't even be mad, just felt super weird being known for something so personal. Has anyone else had a private fight become public like that without any warning, and how did you handle the comments?
Man, been there. My ex did a whole podcast episode about our split and it hit half a million plays in a weekend. First thing, turn off your notifications for a few days, like fully off, because reading every comment will mess with your head. Second, don't post a response, no matter how fair they were, because that just feeds the thing and now you're both content. Third, pick two or three people you trust and let them read the comments for you, so you know if anything actually needs your attention. The weird part fades after a week or two when the internet moves on to the next breakup.
